Elevate your senses with a destination unlike any that you have ever visited.  Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands main attraction in any season is the spectacular natural scenery.  The region features some of the mid-Atlantic’s most exhilarating outdoor recreation, unique attractions, and of course, great, scenic motorcycling roads.

As we make our way to the Laurel Highlands on the first day of the tour, we’ll enjoy the scenic beauty of the western Maryland mountains using a number of scenic byways.  That evening we’ll enjoy a private banquet for our group in the historic Ligonier Country Inn, our overnight accommodations.  Built in 1924, the Ligonier Country Inn is the oldest Inn in the Ligonier Valley.  Its rooms offer unique, rustic charm.  The Inn has its own restaurant and bar enjoyed by many folks living in or just visiting the area.

On Saturday, after enjoying a Continental Breakfast at the Inn, we’ll head south through carefully selected country roads with lots of variety and scenery as we make our way to the resort town of Deep Creek Lake, Maryland.  There we’ll explore some great roads and sights with time to enjoy some of the activities of this famous mountain resort.

On Sunday morning we’ll enjoy the Inn’s famous Sunday Breakfast and Brunch Buffet.  Then it will be more back road exploration as we head for Chaulk Hill, location of  Frank Lloyd Wright’s famous Kentuck Knob.  Nestled high in the western Pennsylvania mountains, six miles from the historic National Road, Kentuck Knob stands as an eloquent testimony to the genius of this American architect. Both dramatic and serene, the home appears almost part of the mountain itself.  Our group will enjoy a tour of this famous home.  Then it will be more  back road riding with a stop at Shanksville to visit the completed Flight 93 National Memorial.

On Monday we’ll continue the adventure even on our way home.  We’ll use a combination of main and rural roads that will not only let us enjoy another enjoyable day of riding, but will ensure our return at a reasonable time.

Don’t miss the Laurel Highlands Tour.  Some have said the area is as beautiful as the European Alps.  You be the judge.
