On May 1, 2010 Ron Perlik and Joe Smith with begin their excellent adventure.  The will ride to Jacksonville Beach, FL to the commencement of the Motorcycle Tourer Forum's (MTF) 50 cc ride.  This ride is is being conduct in cooperation with the Iron Butt Association.  The principal of the ride is to ride from one coast of the U.S. to the other in under 50 hours.

Upon completion of the ride Ron and Joe will attempt to add to, and maybe complete, the Iron Butt Association National Parks Tour which they began on April 16th.  This ride involves collection 50 national park stamps in a minimum of 25 different national parks.  The ride must be completed within one calendar year.  Click below to track their travels and the PARR rides in general.

Ron and Joe will begin the National Parks Tour on April 16th with a trip up to Saranc, New York.  This is the location of the annual pancake festival at Ron's alma matter.  On the way to Saranc will collect a National Park stamp at either Fort Stanwix or Saratoga.  After a breakfast of pancakes they will leave for Arcadia National Park in Maine.  Plans are still unfolding but the will collect the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historic Park in Vermont and Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site in New Hampshire either on the way to Maine or the way back.

If time permits they will attempt to collect additional national parks in the New England area on their way home.  Come back for updates as the riding season unfolds.  In the meantime click on the hyperlink below to follow their travels and those of  PARR.
